The mind behind the art...
Born in Chicago, IL, Jessie has studied art her entire life, exploring the varience of biologial forms in art and science.
Jessie began her formal art training in 2005 at the Cleveland Institute of Art as a Medical Illustrator with a minor in Metals and Jewelry, but felt she wanted more classical training which lead her to the Laguna College of Art and Design in 2008. Since then she has focused on classical techniques of sculpture, using principles of the Golden Mean to guide her design.
Shortly after graduating, she began working in the practical film and television industry. Apprenticing as an assistant sculptor to Jordu Schell (Avatar) she began to work with other artists and their studios like Steve Wang and Creature Effects.
Currently Jessie is exploring artwork and themes that pertain to issues of the body, whether it's the cultural aesthetic, medical, or biological.
